The Northern Queen family has been in business since 1976 when the original building opened. The Ramey family added the convenient feature of the Trolley Junction Restaurant which opened in 1987. We have since added other features such as cottages and chalets for our hotel guests. After those additions we added two more buildings with motel units. In 2006 we opened The Northern Queen Gardens which has worked out great for weddings, family reunions, and other private gatherings. Our founder, Roy E. Ramey had the dream of making this area a destination and not just a place to stay on the way - I guess some dreams do come true.
